DUBOIS, Pa. — Firehouse Pizzeria is moving to a new location next week and offering more options for its customers.
The pizza shop is moving to the former Doc G's Brewing Company building on West Long Avenue in DuBois.
Owner Jim Whited said after five years of business, they outgrew their current location.
"This was possible due to the support from the people of DuBois, especially the fire and EMS personnel," said Whited. "They are like family to us, they've been so good to us and we try to do a lot to give back to the community."
Firehouse Family Restaurant will have the same menu and feature the same fire department theme.
Whited said he'll be adding a few new dishes to the menu, including steak and seafood.
He plans to turn the former brewing room into a private room for parties and create an ice cream bar.
"The big thing we are really excited is having the old bar to use as an old-fashioned ice cream bar," said Whited. "We are going to have milkshakes, floats, smoothies and all sorts of ice cream treats."
Whited said he will be hiring at least 12 more employees over the next six months.
He said he's excited to offer more to the people of DuBois.
"We want to thank the people of DuBois for supporting us and in the future, we hope to be able to give back to the community even more," Whited said.
Firehouse Family Restaurant opens for take-out and delivery Tuesday and officially opens Wednesday.
