He was part of the CBS series “The Flash” playing Barry Allen from 1990 to 1991, and has appeared in other popular shows such as “Dawson’s Creek” and “Guiding Light”. He’s been active in the industry since the 1980s, and all of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

In 1990, Shipp then took the role of The Flash in the CBS series of the same name. In 1998, he was cast as the father of the lead character Dawson in the series “Dawson’s Creek”, being a part of the show for four seasons, and going on to take more television and film projects, building his net worth. In 2010, he returned to daytime soap operas, in the villainous role in “One Life to Live” playing Eddie Ford, before making a guest appearance in the series “Drop Dead Diva” the following year.
